NATO Allied Fighter Jets Stand Ready to Secure Allied Skies

Watch NATO Allied fighter jets rapidly scramble into the skies during a 2023 exercise, demonstrating their preparedness to intercept airborne threats to protect Alliance airspace. The NATO Air Policing mission operates around the clock, responding promptly to unidentified air traffic in or near NATO airspace; a standing peacetime task that has been carried out for decades. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, NATO bolstered patrols, particularly in Eastern Europe, to ensure that NATO can defend its skies on short notice. The video features airborne operations involving fighter jets from Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the United Kingdom, and NATO invitee Sweden.
